SENIORS/UNDERWOOD PARK: Defenders

SENIORS DEFENDERS NETBALL CLINIC – UNDERWOOD PARK

Designed specifically for developing netball athletes aged 13–16 years, this 1-hour clinic will focus on the skills and movements needed to become a stronger and more effective defensive player.

Suitable for GK, GD, WD and defensive C players.

ATHLETES WILL WORK ON:

• Defensive footwork and speed

• One-on-one defence

• Tracking and staying with attackers

• Reading the ball and going for intercepts

• Closing space and applying pressure

• Hands over pressure and clean contesting

• Aerial ball contests

• Circle defence and defensive combinations

• Through-court defence and transition

• Position-specific skills for GK, GD, WD and C
