Welcome to Centurion Athletic Performance (CAP) Academy,

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our trials for the Kapi Mana season for 2025. Reflecting on our outstanding achievements last year—winning the Premier 1 grade in our inaugural season and securing second place with our Premier 3 team—we are eager to build on this success. This year, we intend to field two teams in the Premier level: Prem 1 and Prem 3, as we remain committed to nurturing future athletes and continuing the legacy established by our previous squads.

At CAP Academy, we recognize the rich history of exceptional clubs within Kapi Mana that elevate the Premier competition each year. However, we distinguish ourselves by offering more than just a platform to play Netball; we provide comprehensive development resources that stem from eight years of dedicated high-performance training. Unlike a traditional club, our academy focuses on a multi-sport approach, ensuring that all athletes under our care can pave their pathways to excellence in their respective sports.

Attendance on these crucial dates is essential for consideration for our two Premier level teams. We are on the lookout for dedicated talent with the potential for growth—athletes who are ready to put in the effort to excel individually and contribute to the overall success of our teams.

PREMIER 1 TRIALS:

Our Premier 1 team represents the pinnacle of selection at CAP Academy and comes with the remarkable opportunity to train alongside our franchise players, Silver Ferns, and NNL athletes. As we integrate these experienced players into our season, we aim to invite 7-10 talented individuals to join this elite team. Our goal is to identify athletes from our Premier 3 team who have demonstrated both skill and commitment during the preseason.

PREMIER 3 TRIALS:

This year, we are excited to introduce a revised structure for our Premier 3 trials. These trials will grant entry into our Pre-Season camp for a selected group of 14-16 athletes. Over six weeks, the camp will focus on skill development, confidence-building, fitness, and movement to prepare for the upcoming season. Additionally, we will be participating in the Summer Series at Mungavin Courts every Tuesday to enhance team chemistry. Detailed information regarding costs and other specifics will be shared with those selected for our expanded CAP squad. Importantly, members of this squad will also have the opportunity to vie for a spot on our Premier 1 team based on their performance and commitment during the Pre-Season. From this wider squad after the 6 weeks Pre Season camp, we will then go on to select the final 12 athletes for both Prem 1 and 3 for the upcoming Kapi Mana season. This will mean, there will be essential players being cut from our team.

MORE INFORMATION FOR THE SEASON:

Premier 1-3: Played on Wednesday Nights between 6-9PM at Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua.

SEASON DATES: TBC

We have yet to confirm training days but, we train 1-2 times a week, which will be confirmed closer to date.

PREMIER 3 PRE SEASON DATES:

Training days- Wednesdays and Saturdays (TBC)

Game Days- Tuesdays between 4-6PM

TRIALS INFORMATION:

Our Premier level are open to all College age and upwards. We are unable to accommodate for any year level below Year 9.

CAP COMBINE DAY-  Friday 31st January, 6.30PM-8.30PM @ Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua.

This is the opportunity to showcase your fundamentals skills and movements. We believe having the best mechanics and foundation to be an Athlete is essential to becoming a great overall player for your sport.

CAP COMBINE GAMES DAY- Saturday 1st February, 1.30PM-3PM @ Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua.

Based on your COMBINE day results we will split everyone into teams and have the opportunity to play games to finally showcase your Netball skills.

FINAL TEAMS ANNOUNCEMENTS-

Sunday 2nd February via email

TRIALS FEE COSTS: $5 per Athlete. This must be paid before attending trials. Non-refundable even if you do not attend all trials.

Before you start your registration PLEASE take the time to consider your commitment to school/club and if you are willing to fully commit to the long season and all requirement we will ask from our Prem level teams which includes all trainings and possible tournaments. Also please understand for our Prem 3 selection and Pre Season, just because you make the wider squad does not guarantee a spot for the Kapi Mana season.
